An Evening of Music & Hope

Experience an unforgettable evening of music and community as the San Diego Philharmonic delivers a benefit concert to support Comunidad de Luz on Saturday, August 8 at 5:00 p.m. The concert will feature a rich and moving musical experience in one of San Diego’s most beautiful sacred spaces, St. Paul's Cathedral.

Why & What to Expect

This concert is more than an evening of music;  It is an opportunity to stand alongside vulnerable women and children seeking safety, stability, and hope. Comunidad de Luz, a ministry supported by the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and its partners, provides shelter, childcare, education, job training, mental health support, and spiritual care for migrant women and children in Tijuana. The shelter offers not only emergency housing but a place to rebuild a life with dignity and community.

Every ticket purchased helps provide safety and connection through meals, counseling, childcare, and career development opportunities for families navigating profound uncertainty and trauma.

Under the baton of Diego Guerra, the San Diego Philharmonic will perform _________________, offering artistry and community in the shared experience of music.

Special VIP tickets that further support Comunidad de Luz include a special pre-concert reception with insights from Maestro Guerra and reflections from Bishop Susan Brown Snook and leaders from Comunidad de Luz, to share the heart behind the event and the lives being impacted through this ministry. VIP ticketholders will also enjoy premier seating for the concert.
